Greetings to my Fellow Chapter Members, My name is Tamela D. Bowie and I am excited to be a part of a dynamic group of individuals and organization. I currently have over 20 plus years of owning and operating two successful businesses. One being an insurance agency and the other being an interior design firm. In addition to being an entrepreneur and business owner, I am a Community Leader in the city where I reside as well as a current Board Member on 3 high profile Boards in the City of Lewisville. One of the boards is the "Mayor's Listen and Learn" where we are currently being proactive towards dealing with racial inequity in our City. Prior to my activity with my City Government, I held various positions within my school district as PTA Inclusiveness Chair, President of the High School Girl's Basketball Team , Board Member of the Building Leadership Team, as well as other leadership roles in the Local PTA organization. My educational background consists of a B.A. in Political Science, Certified Paralegal, Legal Notary, Certified Interior Designer, and a dual licensed Insurance Agent. My personal background consist of blogging Christian messages on my blog, Tamela Bowie Ministries, sharing and teaching God's Word. What I am most excited about my position as the Dallas Chapter President, is being able to first, share the Good News about Jesus Christ and to be able to use my years of experience and skill set to help to promote unity, disseminate powerful information that will uplift and encourage, teach and still be taught.
