Los Angeles Chapter Co-President

Aljenon Cooper

Welcome to the Los Angeles chapter of Black Christian Influencers. My name is Aljenon Cooper and I am your Co-chapter President. I am both humbled and honored to serve and work with such a creative group of individuals. I have an extensive background in leadership, which would date back to at least 16 years ago. With great experience working in ministry, schools, and civic organizations it has always been my desire to grow and better those that I lead or come into contact with. I am excited about having the chance to help organize this LA chapter, meeting and working with all of the influencers in LA, and for us to fulfill the vision of the founder. This is a wonderful time to be apart of what God is doing. We will strategize, organize, and maximize!

BCI Chapter's Mission

BCI’s mission is to create an opportunity, responsibility and commitment for Black entrepreneurs, businesses, and organizations to promote the Christian principals and keys to Kingdom living thru our events, social and business interactions within our communities.

Los Angeles Chapter Co-President

Shantel Smith

Hi, my name is Shantel Smith, but everyone calls me Shan! I’m so excited to serve as BCI’s co-lead chapter president for the city of Los Angeles! I currently serve as Discipleship Pastor at a church called Fellowship but will be transitioning off staff this fall and starting my own business as a content creator, actor, comedian but will always be, at my core, a pastor! I am Canadian born, I hail from The Six but grew up in Mount Vernon NY. LA has had it rough this year, so I am most excited to build and cultivate a strong sense of authentic meaningful community, while providing viable networking opportunities, offering support and pooling, harnessing and unleashing all the creativity the West Coast has to offer in our efforts to chase Kingdom.
